8:30 AM - 1 Mile Challenge Run (starting line at Queens Chapel and Clagett Rd.)
8:45 AM - 1K Val Creighton Family Fun Run (starting line at Queens Chapel and Underwood, at UPES)
9:00 AM - 5K Azalea Classic (starting line at Queens Chapel and Sheridan St.)
Plan to arrive to University Park Elementary School by 8:15 AM on race day for warm-up, and be aware that road closures will start around the race route at that time as well.
FEES AND DEADLINES
The Azalea Classic 5K is a USATF sanctioned and insured event!
**Please note: race t-shirts are local pick-up only. We cannot ship t-shirts.**
Online Registration via Race Roster:
5K registration - $30 until April 13; the registration fee goes up as race day approaches!
1 Mile registration - $15
1K registration - $15
Group rates (new format this year):
**Family Rate - New this year, receive a $5 for every registration when you register four or more participants.
**Friends & Family Sponsor - $120 donation to the UPES PTA via the race registration website; this amount does not include race entries or t-shirts.
PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pick-up will be held at:
University Park Elementary School: 4315 Underwood Street Hyattsville, MD 20782
Fri. May 3 from 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Sat. May 4 (race day!) from 7:00 - 8:00 AM
You are allowed to pick up another runner’s packet (and t-shirt) if you know their full name.
Bringing the email with your bib number (which will be sent out the week of the race) will speed up pick-up.
